One of the most frequent things I get asked by clients is “what’s the most flattering on me?” It really varies and a lot is what YOU feel best in, so use my chart for “the best jeans by body type” as a guide and don’t let it stop you from wearing what you love.

I still wear straight leg even though it’s not the most flattering for my pear shape. My favorite jeans have always been wide leg jeans though. I used to wear it back in 2011 when everyone was obsessing over skinny jeans.  It’s no wonder why it’s popularity always comes back — it always looks good and on everyone. It balances out your shape, conceals wider hips/legs and exaggerates your legs (yes, petites you CAN and should wear wide leg jeans).

If you’re unsure of your shape type, here’s a breakdown (you can also use your measurements to determine):

APPLE: curvier, no defined waist
PEAR: bigger in hips than upper body
HOURGLASS: curvy with balanced upper and lower body with waist definition
INVERTED TRIANGLE: bigger in upper body than hips
RECTANGLE: straight throughout, no defined waist
