I’ve already gotten a jumpstart on fall trends for my styling projects, but I can’t stand the thought that in just a few weeks I’ll have to give up my go-to warm weather looks for a while, especially the floral maxi dress . I’m soaking up the last bit of summer and wearing them every chance I get.
There’s something about this floral maxi dress, aptly named the “Bardot dress” that makes me channel my inner Brigitte Bardot and Jane Birkin from the 1960’s/70’s, which are two of my favorite style icons of all time. The best part of the floral maxi dress is that most are likely on sale right now, like this one that I’ve loved. You can “fall them up” by pairing them with boots and getting more wear out of them, which my friend Laura seems to do so well and I did last fall. You’re basically getting more for your money because it won’t go out of style and you can wear it as a transitional piece.
