Zara leather jacket (old, but perennial favorite sold in stores each year) // J.crew shirt (similar) and jeans // Iro heels (now on sale!!) // Ray-Ban sunglasses // Yarnz scarf (c/o) // Sorial bag (c/o)
When you travel as often as I do and dress other people for a living, it forces you to amp up your wardrobe basics game because it makes getting dressed that much easier. I’m all about classic pieces that will never go out of style and you can wear for years if taken care of.
This moto leather jacket that I scored from Zara nearly a decade ago has been a staple in my closet and only gets better with age. In fact, a model I recently worked with had the same exact one often reissued, which she found there only a few years ago and had the same sentiments. Sometimes when it’s something that good, it keeps coming back.
With classic staples like these, it will make packing or getting dressed in the morning a breeze and of course you can update the look each time with accessories like a fun scarf, statement handbag, or killer heels.
Here are my 4 easy basics—not for basic b*tches— that I think every gal should own. I guarantee by incorporating these items into your daily style will make it worth your CPW (cost-per-wear):
1. LEATHER / FAUX LEATHER JACKET

Love this! I have a leather jacket I got about 5 years ago, and it’s one of my favorites! I guess I need to get myself a pair of black jeans though.
Thanks Kymberly! I just discovered a new leather jacket line that I will be posting about soon too…they’re one of the best investment pieces that only get better with time! Black jeans also don’t go out of style. 😉
